Airports Verona

Verona is situated in the middle of northern Italy and it is an important crossway between east/west Europe and north/south. If you come to visit Verona or you go on holiday to Lake Garda, Valpolicella and other cities nearby there are two airports where you can land. The main one is Aeroporto Valerio Catullo situated in Villafranca, just a few kilometers from Verona.
Valerio Catullo Airport -  Verona

Another airport is Aeroporto Gabriele d'Annunzio in Montichiari, near Brescia. In these two airports you can buy low cost flights, especially by Ryanair, but every day there are also many regular flights from the most important European and Italian cities.
Recently Ryanair signed an agreement with Verona airport in order to enhance flights toward Valerio Catullo's, this is an opportunity for who wants to choose this destination for holidays.
Which are the best airports to visit the city?
For sure if you come to Verona city center, the airport in Villafranca is better, but if you visit Lake Garda, especially on west side you should probably choose Montichiari. Anyway they are close with each other, so, first of all, I always suggest to look at the flight fares, the two points are both good to reach every zone near Verona.
Other destinations (cities) you can consider if you land in these two airports: Brescia, Bolzano, Trento, Mantua, Vicenza and other places in Veneto, Trentino and Lombardy in the lake Garda zone.
